Rotary phone problem?
I was given a amazing teal rotary phone made by western bell systems. the phone works for the most part but when I answer it has this really loud tv static sound ontop of the callers voice that makes it really hard to hear what the caller is saying. Does anyone know how to fix this? thanks!
P.S. the previous owner lived by the coast so water may be a factor.
I also took it apart and checked out the wires. Everything seemed in order and a little dusty
Do you have DSL service on that line? If so you need to put a DSL filter between the phone and the wall. They only come modular so you might need adaptors to get from the old style telephone plug to modular.
