Is Peter Pan a good classroom theme? Do you have any ideas to go with it?
I am teaching 3rd grade for the first time this year. I was thinking of doing my classroom in a Neverland/Peter Pan sort of theme. I have a couple ideas but I'd like to know what some other people think.
Peter Pan would be adorrible! You could put up tinkerbell, hook and peter pan decorations and if you really wanted to get into it make one corner hooks ship, one corner the lost boys pad, one corner tinker bells palace or something themed like that! you could put up the fake vine stuff to make it jungle like... have a clock that makes a "tick tock" noise like the crocodile for timing things like getting back to their seat, or how long they have for recess... haha 
I guess it depends on how in you want to get into it.
You could easily connect the characters of peter pan into other books or even life lessons for the class as well. It would be like a new chalange to twist the classroom theme into your lesson plans!
