what kind of sales promotions does harley davidson have at special events?
So I am doing a project on Harley Davidson and I need to know what kind of sales promotions they have going. At special events, and or dealerships?
I am not a biker so I am unfarmiliar with this brand, can anyone provide helpful insight?
Depending on the type of event most MC companies have promotional activities. These activities include product displays, test rides and hospitality facilities. The hospitality facilities are typically for current owners and friends. There might even be free food and beverages. They might also have raffles for clothing or accessories, and free posters, stickers, etc...
Once in a great while, but very seldom, there can be sales events with price discounts associated to the larger event. This does not happen often because the dealers are the ones that sell the bikes and the manufacturer would have to discount the price to the dealers as part of the promotion. It gets very messy because if one dealer gets a discount then other dealers want a discount too.
So sales promotions are usually managed on a national basis and not associated with special events.
