Item not fixed, still pay shop?
Hi all,
i gave an amplifier in for repair over a month ago to a shop. They said they will get it fixed and sent it off to a third party repair shop (who specialise in this brand).
Another shop (prior to giving it to the one it's with now), was unable to get the parts but found the cause (a transistor) that needed replacing.
After waiting sooo long for them to get back to me, the shop rang and said they have it back! 
...however, they said they replaced the transistor, but the amp is still broken!
That there is some other fault with it!? Surely they should have told me when they diagnosed the amp, that the fault is not the transistor/more than JUST that. I've waited over a month and a half, just to be in the same situation as i begun in and on top of that, out of pocket x-amount!
My question is; do i have to pay for the repair, even though technically, it isn't repaired?
If you told them to fix the transistor as you believed that was the problem then yes you do have to pay as they carried out your order. If they diagnosed it and got it wrong then you do not pay for their error
